Hello 4K Families! Just a quick reminder that 4K will be attending mass tomorrow with the rest of the school! :)
Monday and Tuesday we made our class Zoo animal book. We talked about different animals that we have seen and can see at the zoo. The kids had to choose an animal to draw as well as a color word to write. Once they drew and colored the animal to match the words they had to make sure to add some details to their pictures. Wednesday, we talked about Elmer the Elephant. Elmer was sad being unique and not being like everyone else. He decided instead of being colorful and being himself he would cover himself in dirt to make himself the color of the other elephants. Doing this he then realized that he was better off being himself and being unique. There is no one like him and that is why God creates us all in his image differently. Thursday, we started our mother's day gifts. The kids had to sponge paint their canvases with a combination of blue and white paint to create the look of a sky. They all used different techniques to sponge paint them, so the all turned out beautifully! On Friday, we finished and packed up our mother's day gifts. The kids got to pick out seven hearts and choose the placement of the kisses they were blowing on their canvas. They were so excited!! They also made mother's day cards for their mom's that were taped to the front of their package once they were all packed up! So proud of their hard work! Happy Mother's Day to all of our 4K moms! :)
Just a little inspiration for everyone as the year is quickly coming to a close! As I try to always tell the kids "don't forget to be awesome or make whatever you're doing awesome!" Having that positive mindset will be a game changer! Enjoy the amazing weather! :)
