Happy second week of Advent! This week we have been super, super busy! We have had concert practice at the high school, seeing my kiddos in the high school halls makes me realize only a couple of years (9 years but still) till they are walking those halls as high schoolers. We are learning more and more about ADVENT and Christmas. They are working very hard on their concert. We got new books in reading corner for winter and I cannot wait to read them! We have been working on our color words, sight words, and writing our first/last names. 4K has been working extremely hard, so much so we are all saying how tired we are this week!! Our Christmas tree was decorated by Gabby and Karsyn, THANK YOU! And the best part of the week according to the kids was puffy snow painting day! All the paint is, is shaving cream, Elmer's glue and glitter! Then when it dries its still puffy, we love it! We created nativity scenes that can go on your trees when they are sent home, but they are in our windows at the moment giving us some color! As well they help us remember the meaning of the season!
We had a terrific but very busy week!! :) Hope you all have a fantastic weekend! Crossing our fingers for snow! Next week we are going to be learning about different winter holidays: Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukahh, Las Pasadas and Chinese New Year! :)
